FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions before you get started?

What happens after I purchase a service?

After payment, you’ll be asked to complete a short questionnaire and provide any documents or information needed for your service. For document-based services, your turnaround begins once everything required has been received. If your service includes an online session, you’ll also receive details about arranging your appointment.

What's the difference between a CV Review and a CV Rewrite?

A CV Review gives you detailed, actionable feedback on your existing CV, including what to change, remove or improve, but I won’t rewrite it for you. With a CV Rewrite, I’ll rewrite and restructure the document for you, improving the wording, presentation and how your experience is positioned for the roles you’re targeting.

What do I need to send?

What you’ll need to provide depends on the service you choose. You’ll complete a short questionnaire covering the information relevant to your service. This may include your current CV, a job advert or application, your experience and qualifications, the types of roles you’re targeting, or your career goals and priorities. You’ll be told exactly what’s needed after you purchase.

How long will it take?

CV Reviews, CV Rewrites and Application Reviews are normally completed within 3 working days of receiving everything needed to complete your service. For services that include an online session, you’ll be able to arrange your appointment after completing the required questionnaire, with any follow-up materials provided within the timeframe stated for that service. If anything is missing, I’ll contact you before starting.

Do you work with specific industries?

The Career Draft supports students, graduates and early-career professionals across a range of industries. You don’t need to be pursuing a particular type of career or role. Where your service requires it, I’ll use the information you provide about your goals, experience and target roles to make the support as relevant to your situation as possible.

Can you guarantee that I'll get an interview or a job?

No. The Career Draft can help you strengthen your approach, present your experience more effectively and make more informed career and application decisions, but no career or application service can guarantee interviews or job offers.

Can I request change after I receive my documents?

CV Rewrite packages include one round of reasonable revisions, provided the request relates to the original information and brief you submitted. CV Reviews and Application Reviews provide feedback rather than rewritten documents, so revisions aren't included with those services.

How are the services delivered?

No. CV Reviews, CV Rewrites and Application Reviews are completed online without a call. Career Direction, Job Search Strategy and Mock Interview services include an online session as part of the service. Full details of what's included will be provided when you book.

Who is The Career Draft for?

The Career Draft is designed for students, graduates and early-career professionals, includng people considering an early-career change. Whether you're unsure what direction to take, struggling to turn a career goal into a job-search strategy, or want help strengthening an application, you can choose the support tht best matches where you are.

What can I expect from Career Direction support?

Career Direction support is designed to help you explore realistic options based on your experience, interests, priorities and goals. Before the session, I’ll review the information you provide and research potential routes. We’ll then discuss these together, and you’ll receive a personalised plan covering suitable career routes, job titles to explore, entry routes, potential gaps and practical next steps. It’s guidance and research to help you make a more informed decision, not a guarantee that a particular career will be right for you.
